U ovom obnovljenom zatvorenom turbetu, sa oktagonalnom osnovicom, prekrivenom kupolom, u kojem se nalazi jedan prekriveni platnom sarkofag, sa jednim nišanom obavijenim bijelim platnom, sahranjen je Murat-beg Tardić, upravitelj Gazi Husrev-begovog vakufa i njegov blizak prijatelj te saradnik. Gazi Murat-beg “rodom je iz Šibenika, gdje je imao i brata Jurja, svećenika, i druge rodbine. Husrev-beg je cijenio Murad-bega i povjerio mu mnoge poslove i funkcije, a za vrijeme Husrev-begove odsutnosti iz Bosne zamjenjivao bi ga Murad-beg kao ćehaja” (Mujezinović, 1998: 300). Kako navodi Bašagić: “Ne zna se ili ga je Husrev beg zarobio, kad je bio prvi put namjesnik u Bosni, ili ga je kupio kao roba; ali da je njegov oslobogjeni rob znamo sigurno, jer u obje vakufname spominje se kao takav (aslehula-utaka)” (Bašagić, 1907: 88/89). Kreševljaković pojašnjava da Gazi Murat-beg Tardić: “U raznim bojevima po raznim stranama sudjelovao je s Husrevbegom, a mnoge je i sam vodio kao sandžak kliški (1537-1542) i požeški (1542-1545). Osobito se proslavio pri zauzeću Klisa i dobio pridjevak Gazi, a uz to od cara zijaret, te se odonda zove begom. Na predlog Gazi Husrevbegov osnovan je Kliški sandžak u kom je Gazi Muratbeg bio prvi sandžakbeg” (Kreševljaković, 1932: 126). Dalje navodi da je Gazi Murat-beg preminuo 1545. godine “u Požegi, odakle su mu mrtvo tijelo prenijeli u Sarajevo i pokopali u turbetu kod Husrev-bega” (Kreševljaković, 1932: 126).
